The Flash: A Monumental Flop?

The Flash, promised to be the “best superhero movie of all time”, riddled with delays and controversies, finally was released and fizzled at the box office.

Initial projections were an opening weekend of $140 million, that was cut in half to $70 million. The actual results? $55 million.

When you factor in the massive overblown budget. This could be the biggest superhero flop yet.

It seemed doomed from the beginning as Ezra Miller has been embroiled in so many controversies that put a stink on his career, but so far, the biggest talking point is the special effects.

Some say that the popular CW show seemed to look better than the movie. As well, the movie is retreading a storyline already done in the show.

Could superhero fatigue be finally settling in? Could we be seeing the last days of huge multi sequel franchises and TV shows.

Why do you think audiences stayed away from the Flash? Let us know below.
